Some illustrations

Here are some of my own illustrations as part of my summer project for fourth year.
The designers I researched and reviewed will sourced and used for my collection ect.
These designers are, Dice Kayek, Balmain, and Alexander Wang. All A/W2014.

Long time.....

I have recently remembered I have a blog, Oops.
After the major ups and downs 3rd year at uni brought me (not grades wise). I feel ready and able to commit to my blog that I loved doing.
Monday the 15th September, I start my fourth year at Heriot-Watt, Borders Campus. I am honestly excited to be doing my Bachelors and creating my final collection.

We had a summer project.....that was sent out just 8 lovely weeks ago, even though i finished in March, because my lovely uni take their sweet lil time handing anything out.
I have had alot of work to do, It's been exciting, nerve-racking and  my mind has been doubting if I should be pursuing this.

Here is a sneaky wee intro into what I want to use for the basis of my collection:

Metamorphic:

adjective
1.
pertaining to or characterized by change of form, or metamorphosis.
2. Geology. pertaining to or exhibiting structural change or metamorphism.

Images are sourced from various sites, WGSN, Vogue, Pinterest.
My moodboards created on photoshop.

enjoy

Fashion Show

Exciting news, I will be taking part in a fashion show on 30th January at Le Monde part of the Edinburgh Metropolitan Fashow Show which is held by a friend, Farah Faz....check facebook ect. or FazFashionDiary on twitter, FB and instagram. she is a talented girl.

I will be showing between 6-8 dress, which are simple and elegant with a lot of hand sewing involved. I cannot wait, but will also be nerve racking.

Here is a shot of my research brief for 2014 semester, based on WHITE on WHITE.....

Update...

Sorry I Haven't posted on blogger in such a long time, third year at uni has been hectic to say the least.

My modules have been successful, still awaiting results......end of January!! sigh

Anyways here are two of my favourite garments I did for this semester. I overall made 6 garments. Sorry I don't have progress shots of my designs and research to go with it, so here is my final "in uni" photos of my conceptual dress and a commercial jumpsuit. love my jumpsuit. The jumpsuit is made from 100% wool. which cost £30 a metre and I bought two metres, safe to say it was expensive. my dress on other hand cost about £30 to make.....dunno what to do with it after its all marked seeing as I can't wear it.....big thighs and booty. LOL.

anyways enjoy

Photoshoot

I recently got my friend at Univeristy to photograph my little 6 piece collection that I am using for an upcoming fashion show in October, in Edinburgh.

The photoshoot took place at Lauriston Castle, which is a beautiful place, with amazing scenery, which also outlooks onto the Firth of the Forth.

The main theme of my collection is simple shilouettes with hand sewn embroidery enhancing the looks. Sewn on pearls, and an expensive lace with flowers all individually cut-out are all hand sewn.
I love what I have acheived over the summer, so here is the results.
There is one dress thats not included due to it still being a work in progress.

I hope you enjoy the pictures and would love some comments from my lovely readers. ^_^
